About Us

As our name implies, this firm was founded by Thomas Kizer, Jr.
Mr. Kizer has been admitted to the practice of law since 1968
and served eight years as the Livingston County Prosecuting Attorney from 1968 - 1976.
Thereafter, Mr. Kizer continued in the private practice of
law ultimately establishing our firm.

The members of the law firm, as you will notice from reviewing their respective biographies, have a long standing commitment to our community. They have all committed themselves to involvement within the community in which they live and work in many ways which have included participation in educational training of students of many of the schools in the area; assisting the less advantaged members of the community to provide nominal fee or no fee representation in order to provide them access to the law; participation in various community fund raising efforts and opportunities to benefit various charities in the community, and the like.

We urge you to review the informational biographies of each of the members of the firm and our practice areas as contained within these pages. We welcome you to contact us as you desire and we will be happy to discuss with you your specific needs in the law. We consider it a privilege to serve the public in a wide range of legal matters.

As is the case in most situations, very few attorneys can claim expertise in all areas of the law. We think it is important for our clients to know as they enter our office with their particular problem that if that particular area of the law is one with which our firm does not have particular expertise, we have the ability to assist our clients with a referral to an appropriate expert to handle their problem.

Our attorneys are admitted to practice in all Michigan Courts; the United States Federal District Court for the 6th Circuit; and the United States Court of Appeals in Cincinnati. Members of the firm have represented various national clients and routinely handle legal matters throughout Southeastern Michigan. Our primary focus of practice geographically includes Livingston, Washtenaw, Ingham, Oakland, Shiawassee, Genesee, Macomb and Wayne Counties.
